"Threescore and Ten"

As I look back over the past year, there are many blessings to be thankful for. True, there have been heartaches and pain, but through it all God was there with us.

Is it just me? Or does it seem that time goes faster the older we get? This January, I hit my threescore and ten! It doesn’t quite seem possible that I have been around this world for 70 years. Yet, you may have passed that milestone several years ago and are still going strong.

That encourages me!

10 The length of our days is seventy years— or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

I look forward to this new year with anticipation that we are one year closer to the coming of Jesus Christ for His church. As a believer, reach out with enthusiasm to those who do not know Jesus Christ as Savior and lead them to Him.
